I can’t say enough good words about Dr. Moore and his sweet office crew. They are all both knowledgeable and helpful to the max! Compassion and empathy abound at Med-Can! To those of you who complain about forms and regulations, those are created by state agencies and we ALL know where the “state” stands on regulations and rules...the more the better! It’s NOT the office staff’s fault that endless paperwork is required! Here’s the way I see it – I have waited almost 50 years to have legal access to cannabis, and now it is here! And the price? The price of treatment and product is fair, and CHEAP compared to the alternatives: doing without, or chasing illegal sources! Kudos to any and all valiant efforts to enhance legitimate access to cannabis for Florida citizens! Thanks, Dr. Moore, Mary, Jade, Mary, and Jack! Robert Clark

Prepare yourself to expect the initial experience to be inefficient with multiple pieces of paperwork that mostly asked the same questions - this is required by the state. I believe this is available on their website if you want to complete in advance. When you get to to the address portion, the system does not allow for both a physical address and a mailing address - make sure only your physical address on your DL is what is entered into the system or you will be rejected if they don't match by the state. Also know that when you call you'll receive vm everytime, but they do call you back. Mary and the support staff are great. The office is only open on Wednesdays, so be mindful of that. You'll receive a discount if you pay in cash but debit cards are also accepted - not sure about credit, but I imagine so. You'll have the initial visit that you need to be prepared to pay for, and MedCan submits paperwork on their end and then you'll need to go to a dispensary to submit your application (a $75 fee). And wait about six weeks, although, if you're at the end of week six, make sure to call the state registry to find out the status - I've heard from a few that this helps kick it up stairs. It would be wise to go ahead and schedule your follow up visit with MedCan at the initial visit at the seven week mark so you'll remember that you have to come back with your temp email verification and get a recommendation from the Dr. Then back to the dispensary (and be prepared that they may only take cash). I've been back now for my six week follow up and the staff was super helpful in educating me more about what will work best for me. Lastly, Dr. Moore has a wonderful bedside manner, he's down to earth and very intuitive. He takes his time to address every aspect of what's going on to understand how to help. Much appreciated!

This office has multiple issues. Some of the staff is kind and amazing but when you call you don't get a person so it's hard to get through and you use to need to walk in or wait days to get something done. The doctor seemed nice and it seemed like a better rate locally UNTIL you realize he under recommends for his very sick and chronically ill patients so they have to come back and pay more to get what is necessary. Many patients that need this are disabled or very financially limited leaving them to barely afford their license or the medication much less several appointments at $130 a piece. He told me the ink cost more than he was charging and he couldn't see patients for free. He is in this business for the money, not for his patients. He must cover cost but hurting his patients for financial gain isn't what an MMJ should be doing. Patients waited 1+hrs to see him when I was in his care. My family member fired him after surgery while in bad shape and he took over a month to remove them from his list so I had to take the patient in. The younger staff and doctor lied to us about removing the patient. It takes less than 3 minutes to remove a patient so she went without medication for 2 months due to this and getting another doctor. While we were there he said she could wait 3 weeks for DOH to do the rest of the removal (false) or she could go back into his care immediately, which would leave her to not have enough medication so she found another doctor! Please check around. Ask others. Make sure you get the care you need. I wish I did!

Dr. Moore and staff at MEDCAN are sincere in their efforts to improve the lives of people. Dr. Moore and his staff have the knowledge and heart to help those in need. My personal testimony is only one of many. If you have a qualifying condition, contact Dr. Moore; he will help you!

You will not get a live person when you call this office. It is a recording of the doctor's voice indicating your call will be returned within the next business day. The email link on the website in non-functional. If you attempt to send an email using the email address on the website, it will be returned as "undeliverable." My impression of this physician is that he is mainly concerned with those patients with debilitating diseases who are trying to break away from opioids. I do not fall into this category although I recently endured a breast cancer and am taking a medicine with side effects which medical marijuana is useful in minimizing and even eliminating. Although he and his staff are kind, kindness does not compensate for lack of adequate communication and a less-than-adequate recommendation. Consider your qualifying health issue and choose carefully among doctors available in this area. I wanted to use a local doctor who came highly regarded. Unfortunately, I am not satisfied.

What is a Cannabis Dispensary?

A cannabis dispensary is a retail store which sells cannabis products and accessories. Since the early 1990's, cannabis dispensaries have existed in the United States. The first dispensary was opened in California, and since then, the nation has been progressing towards cannabis reform. Now, there are thousands of cannabis dispensaries, and more on the way as laws in the United States change towards legalizing medical and recreational cannabis.

Most dispensaries carry a variety of different kinds of flowers and buds. The flowers will range from sativa to hybrids of all sorts to indicas, and depending on state, test results letting you know the percentages of THC, cannabinoids and terpenoids as well as ensuring the quality of the flowers. In addition, dispensaries carry a variety of other cannabis products such as prefilled vape cartridges, concentrates such as waxes and oils, as well as a multitude of other cannabis products like lotions and tinctures.
