I tried several times to schedule with their counselors but got the run around each time. After a week or so of trying to “figure something out”, I looked elsewhere. If someone is reaching out for mental health help, delaying the process is unacceptable.

I will keep this free of a lot of emotion and tell you only the core reasons why you may not want to utilize their services: 1. My experience was that they were poor administratively. 2. My experience was that my counselor was regularly running behind schedule. 3. It was never communicated to me, until recently, but each counselor spends the first approximately five minutes, or so, of the session logging each session, on their phone or tablet. I understand now, that they are not just checking their messages, but at the time it was pretty infuriating/disrespectful. 4. It was my experience that the counselors refused to prioritize gaining pertinent data, or consulting other professionals that could bring light to the real situation. 5. It is my understanding, that there is at least one counselor who believes even when there is not infidelity, physical abuse, or abandonment (scriptural reasons for divorce) that divorce is okay when a mate just “feels” like they would be healthier apart. 6. Research "Splankna" and decide if you believe it should be used at a Christian practice. 7. It is my understanding, that one of the counselors believes that when you have decided to be done with your marriage, even if the paperwork is not complete, it is okay to date, as long as you are “careful.” Ultimately, you are free to believe what you want, just be warned. This is the truth as I know it.

Great God-centered counseling. We learned wonderful communication strategies for our marriage and for working with our children. The counselors use their spiritual gifts and talents to help others realize they are not alone and realize their God- centered full potential in these relationships. I thank God that there is a Christian counseling center available.
