"knowing oneself is the beginning of wisdom, thence the pursuit of the Divine is the perfection of it." Dr. Bluett is the finest example of a true physician. Her first principle in practice is to recognize the physician in each of us - and work to bring it out. Our symptoms are a voice for our illnesses - and learning to listen to the inner voice of our body (read the symptoms) - is the key to health. Our nourishment should be our medicine and our medicine should be our nourishment. Meaning - a healthy life is integral to living - it is not something foreign to our body or something we must add. We are created perfect - and by choice have discharged nature and the natural way from our lives. Our denial of nature and reality - accumulate the symptoms which result in illness. Illness does not suddenly appear. For the past decade, plus - Dr. Bluett has invested her time in developing the physician in me. I will be eternally grateful to her for her diligence and care in this regard. As a person caring for another person, she works with me as a unique creation - something more than a human being - but rather a human person - an individual who is in a state of becoming more than the status quo. Medice, cura te ipsum. "It is more important to know the person who has the condition than it is to know the condition the person has." As an example - when experiencing knee pain - I asked, "if it was time for me to have a knee replacement?" She responded with, "at what point do you believe your body is instructing you to poke a hole in your leg and stick a piece of plastic in it?". So we drink more water, eat grilled salmon twice a week, cut back on the alcohol, and walk a bit more often. Pain is gone. "leave your drugs in the chemist's pot if can heal the patient with nourishment." Dr. Bluett does not prescribe some from some textbook chart of recommended cures for symptoms, as created by the pharmaceutical companies. She is in practice of the Art of Medicine to which she has a demonstrated love of the art. And where there resides a love for the art of medicine - there also resides a love for humanity. Her greatest quest seems to be educating people on how not to need it. The physician treats, but nature heals. If there were a rating beyond five stars - she would receive that!
