Yesterday I obtained my medical marijuana card. My doctor then directed me to this "dispensary". I am obviously very new to this & I'm not sure what I was expecting, but from what I've seen on TV or social media, this dispensary is not what I imagined. Before yesterday I was thinking that edibles would be nice.... a lollipop or something when I'm nauseous, etc... However, this place has more of a pharmacy feel. Your doctor will basically prescribe what he or she deems best fit for the patient and then you will chose from a small variety of options... oil, vape, capsules, and a gummy-type candy. As for the vaping, from what I've been told, there is a choice of either Indica, Sativa, or a hybrid of the 2. I bought all 3. I also went with the oil. The oil is sublingual and comes in either a lemon flavor oil or flavorless oil. After trying it, I would definitely recommend the lemon flavor over the flavorless oil. (((SIDEBAR: If you are thinking that you will be able to get your medical marijuana card and then go buy medical grade marijuana to smoke, or choose from edibles, etc.... it is not like that in NY.))) As for COVID-related remarks: the company is practicing social distancing & you must wear a mask to enter the building. I observed only about 2 or 3 patients inside the building at a time. The staff will deliver your order to your car. I had my order already made up by phone before arriving, so I waited my turn to enter the building. I then paid for my order and retreated back to my car, where my order was delivered a short time later. As I stated before, this was my first trip, so I wanted to make sure that I knew how to use everything I had purchased... the staff member was sure to answer any questions I had and I left there knowing exactly how to use each item I purchased. Financials for newcomers: I spent $200 first for my doctor visit. At Curaleaf I spent another $200 for the lemon flavored oil, a vape battery & charger, and 3 cartridges (listed above). Overall, it was a good experience and the staff was great. I just hope they add more options to the menu.

Usually service is great when in store, but due to covid it’s become tougher to shop here; completely understandable, but hopefully my review can help them address some opportunities. I also own a few shares of the company’s stock - so I’m supportive of the brand. This location typically has a much better variety than my local Forest Hills location, but takes me 45 minutes over 15 to travel to. Earlier this week they had plenty of what I was looking for and was told I’d be good to visit on the weekend so order then. Today I tried calling to place my order seeing no inventory online, with a full voicemail that takes hours to hear back from and had to send an email that will most likely not be checked until it’s too late for me to get there. Hopefully they can address these issues, or increase product availability at their Forest Hills location.
