Sad but very true that you can a get FOID Card 4x - 6x faster than a card to buy your herbal medicine. What a joke, nor am I laughing nor against gun owners. This state needs more workers in this department, and they can take up to three months to process your card regardless of how many applicants are ahead of your application. Also, they rarely answer phone calls, but they do answer them when they’re not bombarded with phone calls. Two stars for at least having a medical marijuana program in Illinois that doesn’t suck as bad as some unmentionable states that are beyond worse to imagine with what other people are going through to have a quality of life. Thank you Illinois and let’s hope it’s legalized soon on the state & federal level.

I refuse to get a card. I know if Im sick and know where and how to grow cannabis to stay healthy and not fund this awful program. Cannabis is $100 an ounce in Maine and California for top shelf. What the hell is going on in the state? 156 applications and only like 7 got passed to sell herbal treatment. States broke and desparate to tax the sick. New low for the Illinois. Poor state

It is very hard to get a hold of people who work here. The hours they are open are far too few to support any type of REAL cannabis program for the years to come. I think they only have a few workers in total. I have been trying to figure out why my waiver has not gone through when I mailed it and emailed it over 9 days ago. The kicker....I have already had my card for a year...but the medicine I need rings up for 6 times the weight compared to what it actually weighs because the system the state uses is completely flawed. The only way to remedy this is to spend another $300 and drive all over the state for Dr. visits. All I want is to take my legal medicine for cancer, and the state drops the ball no matter how much money I throw at them.
